Midterm Exam Part 2

Many media institutions use different platforms as a way to distribute or showcase parts of their products and interact with their viewers. Social media has now become a giant part of everyone's daily life and has affected how media institutions encourage viewer consumption. Studios and production companies often show sneak peeks or trailers of their films on streaming services to intrigue audiences into watching them in the movie theaters or even buy them and watch them digitally. On other forms of media where people can post about anything in a digital-feed type manner, like Instagram or Twitter, actors or producers can promote the production of the film. Viewers could become more interested in a film if they know that certain actors are performing in it or are providing support for that film. By having people see the posts or videos, then they are going to share that with the people they know. Then, those people will view the post and possibly share it even further. So, all of those people are going to engage with the post and videos associated with the movie on the different platforms.
