The scene starts off with the main character sitting in silence as he is waiting for his appointment. This could mean that the main character is perhaps nervous or dreading the visit to the psychiatrist. There also is an asynchronous sound of a clock ticking, which could also add to the nervousness the main character might be feeling. As the main character says that he is feeling incomplete, incidental music starts to play and adds to the mood. When the main character is in his backyard, the ambient sound of nature could be heard, followed by the synchronous sound of quacking as the ducks come into the backyard. This could mean that the ducks matter a lot in his incomplete life, even if no one else thinks so.
